  1. I ran into this problem some years ago, and found that the printer wasn’t getting an IP address from the router for some obscure reason. The solution (for me) was to configure the printer to use a fixed IP address. I wrote up how to diagnose and fix this particular circumstance here:

  2. Nothing worked. Got setup wizard, found network asked for key or pass word, entered password got two beeps and cleared the password but didn’t connect, didn’t give me an “incorrect password” or anything else, just cleared cleared it and never changed the screen.

    Update:
    The problem is that Brother doesn’t recognize keys or pass words that are not a specific length. My pass word is 7 letters and brother only recognizes 5 or 8 to 63 letters, numbers, etc.

    • If your driver printer not updated from latest version, select the start button, then select Settings and go on Update & Security, and select check for updates. If Windows update finds an updated driver, it will download and install it, and your printer will automatically use it. After that you are not able to download, then call our experts.
